Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 4, 2026

Overview

SecondThought is designed with privacy in mind. This policy explains how we handle your data in the SecondThought app for iPhone and Apple Watch.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data. SecondThought operates entirely on your device with no data sent to our servers.

API Keys and Credentials

Your API keys (for OpenRouter, OpenAI, or other providers) are stored locally on your device using secure storage. We never transmit, collect, or have access to your API keys.

Conversations and Messages

Your conversations are stored locally on your device. When you send a message, it is transmitted directly from your device to your chosen AI provider (e.g., OpenRouter, OpenAI). We do not route, store, or have access to any of your conversations.

Please review the privacy policy of your chosen AI provider to understand how they handle your data.

Third-Party Services

SecondThought connects to third-party AI providers based on your configuration. By default, the app uses OpenRouter. Each provider has their own privacy policy:

Analytics and Tracking

SecondThought does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising frameworks. We do not track your usage of the app.

Data Sharing

We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data. Your interactions go directly between your device and your chosen AI provider.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
